Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast is located on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, just 30 minutes from New Orleans. It is conveniently nestled in Old Mandeville in the middle of all the neighborhood hotspots, including the lakefront, the Tammany Trace biking/walking trail, Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall, the Pontchartrain Yacht Club, restaurants, shops, farmers markets and more. 
 

Blue Heron is owned and operated by Northshore natives Steven and Sarah Federer, who are passionate about making Blue Heron feel like a home away from home for their guests. It is the perfect place for those who value privacy and like to do things at their own pace.

 

Blue Heron has two guest suites, each with a king size bed, private bathroom, dining area, refrigerator, microwave, coffee service, and essential oil diffuser. Each suite is accessed by its own private entrance from a large porch that overlooks the property's gardens. You can relax on your private porch area with rocking chairs, dining table and daybed, and  outdoor curtains for additional privacy. There's also a fire pit in the garden.

 

An optional continental breakfast consisting of assorted pastries, English quiche, organic granola, organic milk and orange juice can be added to your reservation upon booking. Breakfast is fully stocked in your room each afternoon so that you can wake and dine at your leisure in the morning. For guests who prefer a more robust hot breakfast, there are also a number of fantastic breakfast and brunch options in the neighborhood just steps from your door.
